The former third-round pick in the 2021 draft class has climbed into the top 10 highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL with his new deal, which has an average salary of nearly $24.2 million, putting him seventh ahead of Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, who earns the league’s highest salary of $32 million per year.
Collins, 25, has impressed in his third professional year while catching passes from C.J. Stroud in his rookie season, catching 80 passes for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games (10 starts) in the Texans’ playoff run. The 25-year-old wide receiver also caught 11 passes (targeted 17 times) for 164 yards and one touchdown.
