Houston Texans first-round left guard Peter Skoronski has revealed he will continue to learn and be available to help out rookie first-round left tackle J.C. Latham at the same time, NFL Network reports. ( kindee1688 )
Skorowski had a difficult rookie season, adjusting to left guard and starting 14 games, missing three games due to appendectomy.
“This time last year, I felt like I was everywhere,” Skoronski said. “I didn’t even know what guard I was going to play or what position I was going to play.”
This year, the Titans upgraded their offensive line by selecting Alabama offensive tackle Latham with the seventh pick in the 2024 draft to become their new left tackle.
“There’s definitely going to be similar situations,” Skoronski said of Latham. “I feel like I have a little bit more perspective now after a year, so helping him out any way I can, whether it’s on or off the field. He’s done a great job so far.”
‘I think he’s just ready to go out there and play football. He’s eager to learn, really eager to play. We all make mistakes, and I’ve certainly made a lot of mistakes. Just help him learn and get better.’
