The Seattle Seahawks are set to part ways with veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett, 32, after a decade with the franchise since entering the league as a third-round pick in the 2015 draft, NFL Network reports. kindee1688

Lockett finished his career in Seattle with 661 receptions for 8,594 yards and 61 touchdowns, second best among all three franchises. 

Releasing Lockett would save the Seahawks $17 million on the final year of the 32-year-old wide receiver’s contract, with $13.9 million in dead money coming from his signing bonus. 

Lockett had four straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons and at least eight touchdowns from 2019-2022 and is coming off a stellar 2023 campaign under Pete Carroll, catching 79 passes for 894 yards and five touchdowns. But the 32-year-old wide receiver had a dismal season last season, catching 49 passes for 600 yards and two scores, his worst season in seven years. ( kindee1688 )
