Jacobs, a running back from Alabama, was drafted by the Raiders with the 24th pick in the first round, one of three first-round drafts along with defensive end Kellyn Farrell at No. 4 and safety Johnathan Abram at No. 27. Jacobs will be part of a running back group that includes Jalen Richard, DeAndre Washington, Doug Martin and Chris Warren.
Jacobs’ signing comes after a report over the weekend from The Athletic suggested the 21-year-old rookie running back might not report to training camp if he doesn’t sign a contract. Raiders rookies are scheduled to report on July 23, while veterans are set to report on July 26. ( kindee1688 )
