The Falcons selected Pitts with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 class. He impressed in his rookie season, catching 68 passes for 1,026 and scoring one touchdown, but the 24-year-old has struggled over the past three seasons, holding the ball to just 667 yards. Morris is urging Pitts to prove himself again.
“He’s always going to have more pressure because he’s drafted so high, right?” Morris said. “So we want to get this young man out there and be the best version of him. We’re always going to make the right decisions for the Falcons, and we’re always going to make the right decisions to get him started. We’re going to have to figure it out.”
“Listen, Kyle’s a really talented player,” Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot added. “He’s done a lot of good things. You can watch the highlight tape and see all the good things he’s done.”
‘We believe Kyle will give everything he can to be the best player for us and we will do the same for him.’ ( kindee1688 )
