Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken is confident Lamar Jackson will excel in the 2024 season, when the 28-year-old quarterback had the best season of his career, NFL Network reports. ( Kindee1688 ) 

Jackson threw for a career-high 4,172 yards, a career-best 41 touchdowns and four interceptions, while posting a 119.6 rating. But Monken believes the 28-year-old quarterback can still do even better in the future.

‘Last year, when he did that, I thought he was still just superficial,’ Monken said. ‘The stats may not be like that, but I know he was just superficial.’

Jackson has gotten better in the pocket and has also shown he can analyze defenses when needed and not rely solely on his powerful running ability. The 28-year-old quarterback has improved every season under Monken, and this trend is expected to continue.

“Lamar is an incredibly humble superstar,” Monken said. “That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have competition, doesn’t want to be a great player. Lamar just wants to win, but he also knows that his game is good. Your chances of winning go up exponentially when you have a great quarterback.”
