Fields dislocated his left shoulder in last week’s 27-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, and Bears coach Matt Eberflus said the 23-year-old quarterback is being assessed on a day-to-day basis. Fields told reporters it was unclear whether he would be ready to return immediately.
“It’s a dislocated shoulder with some ligament tears, basically part of the joint,” Fields told The Athletic’s Kevin Fishbein.
‘The coach (Eberflus) said it’s up to me, they want the best for me.’
