The Kansas City Chiefs are in need of a backup quarterback and could trade Cleveland Browns star quarterback DeShone Kizer to fill the role of backup to Patrick Mahomes, who will be moving into the starting lineup next season.  kindee1688

The Chiefs recently traded veteran quarterback Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins to push second-year star quarterback Mahomes into the 2018 season, while fellow quarterback Tyler Bray is set to become a free agent and there are doubts over whether Bray will re-sign with the Chiefs. 

The Chiefs are therefore looking for an experienced quarterback to back them up, whether it be Josh McCown, Chase Daniel or Matt Moore, and have also suggested Mike Glennon, who is set to be dumped by the Chicago Bears, as well as trading Nick Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles. 

The Chiefs also have another interesting option in trading for rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer from the Browns, but many have questioned Kizer’s performance, which was just 53.6 percent complete in 15 games last season, allowing for 2,894 yards, 11 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. 

Kaiser has a chance to improve under coach Andy Reid, who is good at developing young quarterbacks and should work well with Mahomes. ( kindee1688 )
