kindee1688 Saquon Barkley is on a journey to set personal records and achieve success with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Saquon Barkley, 27, set a Philadelphia Eagles franchise record with 205 rushing yards in Sunday’s 28-22 divisional playoff win over the Los Angeles Rams, ESPN reported kindee1688.
Barkley has the third-most rushing yards in a season, including the playoffs, with 2,329, trailing only Terrell Davis’ 2,331 yards in 1997 and 2,476 yards in 1998.
The 27-year-old running back also broke Steve Van Buren’s franchise record of 196 yards rushing in a 1949 playoff game, also against the Rams.
Barkley previously spoke with LeSean McCoy for advice on playing in inclement weather, with McCoy advising him to run on his tiptoes and telling the 27-year-old running back to consult with Eagles equipment manager Greg Delimitros about getting cleats that are the proper length to cut through the snow.
Barkley also texted legendary Rams running back Marshall Faulk for tips on how to deal with teams that are ready to stop you.
“He told me, ‘Don’t pre-plan your game. Trust your reading of the game and let your eyes and your feet connect. Be patient,'” Barkley said.
The 27-year-old running back also addressed his pursuit of records. “I felt like I had a good game last week (against the Green Bay Packers),” Barkley said. “But you’ve got to build a legacy, and I wanted to have that kind of game, just imagining things and wondering what the records were. It was fun when it happened.” ( kindee1688 )
