Juventus, under new manager Thiago Motta, are looking to revamp their midfield for the 2024-25 season, having already brought in Douglas Luiz and Khefren Thuram, but are still keen on Kopmeiners. ( sunlit1688 )
Italian media outlet Tuttosport reported that Juventus have encountered obstacles in their pursuit of Kopmeiners as planned, as they planned to spend only €40-45 million, but Atalanta refused to lower the €60 million price tag.
With this in mind, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has had to look elsewhere and has now contacted Celtic to enquire about the possibility of signing O’Reilly, who has also been a target for Atalanta.
Atalanta have already made an initial bid of €15m, but Celtic have rejected it, who value the 23-year-old at €30m, but Gazzetta dello Sport says the Scottish champions could consider selling the 23-year-old midfielder for €25m.
For O’Reilly, he has risen to the top with Celtic in the 2023-24 campaign, becoming a regular in Brendan Rodgers’ midfield and finishing the campaign with three of the club’s top awards, the Fans’ Player of the Year, the Team-mates’ Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year.
