    The atmosphere before the game was filled with protests from fans who were unhappy with the club’s decision to suddenly sack De Rossi, which Juric admitted the players also felt sorry for.

    “We did well, especially in the first half. After the break we started to lose our sharpness and the team responded well,” Juric told Sky Sport Italia.

    “As far as I know, when I arrived the players told me frankly that they were upset about De Rossi being sent off. I’m okay with that because sometimes players try to hide it, but you can see how upset they are. They gave their all but didn’t get the results.”
