The LA Times Sports reported that James has signed a two-year, $104 million contract with a player option through the 2025-26 season.  ( thaisiambet )

It leaves the team with $188.1 million in new season salary, $16.2 million more than the previous season, for a total of $204 million, $63.8 million over the cap. 

At this point, the team is struggling to move. It may be another unsuccessful season. Until the ceiling is cleared, there will be some great players who want to join forces.
