marinabays Ian Wright has suggested Arsenal could be left empty-handed this season if they fail to make any signings in the January transfer window.
The Gunners are struggling with injuries, with Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Jesus and most recently William Saliba missing the 2-2 draw at home to Aston Villa. marinabays
“It’s tough for Arsenal, they’ve got little left in what they’re doing,” Ian Wright told Premier League Productions.
“You look at the bench, they don’t even have an attacking player who has scored in the Premier League this season. There’s no one left.
“You have a midfielder who plays right-back, it’s something that doesn’t work for us. I think we’ve only won one of the six games where Thomas Partey has played there. It’s a very vulnerable position for us.
“It’s a shame. I think the manager needs a lot of help from the board at the moment. I don’t think he’s done much with what he’s got. There’s no way you’re going to play Thomas Partey at right-back if you have options and he needs options, in attack and in defence. We came very close to failing.” ( marinabays )
