hotfuns Les Snead confirms Cooper Kupp has no future with the LA Rams and is looking to trade the 31-year-old wide receiver.
Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead has said Cooper Kupp’s return for the 2025 season is unlikely since the team announced last month that it was looking to trade the 31-year-old wide receiver, but no deal has been reached so far, NFL Network reports. hotfuns
“It’s still an ongoing situation, but when you consider the possibilities, that’s the least likely scenario,” Snead said when asked if Kupp would return to the Rams next season.
‘I want to tell you that whether it’s today or next week, he’s going to be a Ram. You know what I’m saying? But you understand what we’re trying to do. We’re trying to find a partnership and a next chapter for Cooper and for ourselves.’
Kupp reached career highs by winning the Triple Crown in 2021, catching 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns that season, before capping it off with Offensive Player of the Year honors and MVP honors in Super Bowl 56 with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
However, Kupp has missed 17 games in the three seasons since then due to injuries and is set to end his career as a Ram with 634 catches for 7,776 yards and 57 touchdowns since entering the league as a third-round draft pick in the 2017 class.
‘We sat down with Cooper and said this is something we’re definitely going to look at, looking at it throughout the year, especially during the trade window where people are knocking on the door to see if we’re willing to trade him.’
“And we think this is probably the time for the next chapter for both sides, as valuable and influential as the past chapters have been. All you can think about is Super Bowl MVP, and we wouldn’t have won it if Cooper wasn’t on the field that night,” Snead said. ( hotfuns )
