LA Rams head coach Sean McVay has revealed he wants to bring back quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, 33, to be Matthew Stafford’s backup again, NFL Network reports. hotfuns

“We’d love to bring him back,” McVay said of Garappolo. “We’re obviously very busy with the Matthew situation. That’s the hope and the expectation.”

‘Now you know there might be other interests, and Jimmy has every right to be interested in that. But yeah, if you’re asking me, would I want Jimmy to come back here and work in the quarterback room with Dave Ragon and Matthew and the guys, the answer is absolutely yes.’

McVay wants to bring Garappolo back to the team because the Rams’ quarterback room is now filled with inexperienced Stetson Bennett as Stafford’s backup. 

Garappolo will be among a handful of experienced quarterbacks to hit the free-agent market, along with Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, Jameis Winston, Jacoby Brissett, Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones. ( hotfuns )
