The Albanian international grew up in the club’s academy. He just recovered from his injury and played as a starter and scored a goal in the 2-0 win over Fulham and was a starter again in the most recent game, winning 4-1 against Burnley, but was on the field for only 45 minutes. The first minute was due to poor performance. ( doohee )
However, Johnson sees Broya as having the potential to be an important force for Chelsea, asking the club to keep it for their own use rather than selling it.
“I think he can be a top player for Chelsea,” Johnson said. “He’s a good age. He is a player with very good technique. He was cool and calm in front of the door. Which is what you need to be a striker for a top team.”
“He hasn’t reached his peak yet. But he is young and is worth being an option for Chelsea and it is better than they spend big on new players.”
