Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has unveiled his eight-man backroom staff and their roles, with former midfielder Thiago Alcantara, 33, still nowhere in the cards, according to Diario Sport on Saturday.  ( wilson88 )

Flick took over as coach of the Blaugrana from Xavi Hernandez on a two-year deal and the German has unveiled his back-room staff, with Marcus Zorc, Toni Tapalovic and Haiko Westermann the 59-year-old’s main assistants.

While Julio Tus, Pepe Conde, Rafa Maldonado and Germán Fernandez are part of the team that oversees the players’ training and physicality, José Ramón de la Fuente works as goalkeeping coach. 

Thiago, meanwhile, has not yet been officially named on Flick’s staff, although the 33-year-old has worked with the club before, but is expected to be hired soon, given his ability to communicate in both Spanish and German, as well as his knowledge of Catalan culture.
