Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has hailed 18-year-old full-back Adam Aznu as a potential replacement for Alphonso Davies, Sky Germany reported on Sunday.
With a 3-0 lead over Union Berlin, Vincent Kompany had the chance to test the youngster before handing Aznou, an 18-year-old, his debut for the senior side, coming on for Davis in the final 10 minutes of the game. Although he didn’t have enough time to make a significant impact, he was still praised by Eberl.
“He has incredible potential and that’s why we’re delighted he’s now turned professional. Hopefully there are many more games to come,” Eberl said of Aznu.
For Barcelona-born left-back Aznou, he was part of the La Masia academy before moving to Bayern Munich’s youth system in 2022, and made his debut in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Union Berlin ( Sakidbet )
