assist-laden right-back has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid with his Liverpool contract due to expire in the summer.
“He didn’t answer the question about his contract. He gave an interview at the end of the game (against Leicester) where I believe he said he didn’t want to talk about it anymore so he postponed it,” Neville told The Gary Neville Podcast.
“But there will come a point next Sunday when he can’t avoid it anymore. “
Because Liverpool’s season is over, they have won the league. There’s nothing left to say except ‘are you going to stay at the club?’ and he has to say yes or no. “
