kindee1688 Hasbro , Disney+ and 20th Century TV have teamed up to revive the “ Power Rangers ” series, and are in talks with “ Percy Jackson and the Olympians ” creators Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Schott to write, produce and executive produce.
The series will be a reimagining of the 90s hit “The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers” for a new generation of audiences, while also honoring its predecessor, which told the story of five teenagers who transform into the superhero team known as the Power Rangers to protect the world from evil. Each has their own unique color and their own special robot or vehicle. kindee1688
The popularity of the series at that time led to the first film in 1995, and a 2017 remake by Lionsgate that gave it a more serious spin. The film cost around $100 million to make, but only made $142 million, so it never got a sequel.
Hasbro acquired the rights to the franchise in 2018 and tried to adapt it for a while, such as trying to create a Netflix series with Jonathan Entwistle of “The End Of The F***ing World” as the creator. However, the project fell through and Netflix dropped the project, forcing Hasbro to find a new creator, which led to Disney+ hosting it.
Hasbro also has several series based on its current licensed toys, including “Clue,” “Dungeons & Dragons,” and “Magic: The Gathering.” ( kindee1688 )
