The Citizens held Inter Milan to a 0-0 draw in the Champions League on Wednesday night, leaving the English champions with just one point in their opening game.
“It was a very intense game against a very good team. We knew what was going to happen, they are strong, they are used to winning,” the Portuguese defender told TNT Sports.
“We knew it was not going to be easy, at the end of the game the team performed well and almost scored, we accept that (1 point) and will move on. It was a good opportunity for us to play against a strong team.
“This (not conceding a goal) is something we love, it makes us defenders happy with the job we do on the pitch.
“The season has just started, it’s still early in the season. We know what kind of team we are. Today we played at a good level. At the end of the game we had chances to score, we should have scored but that’s football. There’s obviously a lot of room to work on and improve.” ( vox888 )
