sunlit1688 Liverpool boss Arne Schlott has suggested Darwin Nunez is not struggling with confidence and is confident he will return to scoring regularly.
The Uruguayan international has fallen out of favour under Schlot, scoring just twice in the Premier League this season and has been linked with a move away from the club, with the Red Devils reportedly rejecting a €70m bid from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal. sunlit1688
Despite not being at his best and receiving criticism from fans for his frequent lapses in judgment, Schlott insists he still believes in his team.
“He was involved in the game against Accrington Stanley where the first goal was scored, he was involved in the game against Fulham where Jota scored and he scored one against Southampton and after that he didn’t start much.
“For me, it’s the life of a striker. Sometimes you score, sometimes you don’t. He doesn’t start every game. The most important thing is that as a team we can score in every game and there were only two games where we didn’t score.
“That tells me we have a lot of goals in our team. Darwin will score goals like he has done for this club. I don’t see him struggling that much and he is still involved in our goals.”
For Nunez, he will return to the squad for Liverpool’s trip to Brentford on Saturday after serving a suspension for the draw at Nottingham Forest. ( sunlit1688 )
