Detroit Lions cornerback Terrier Arnold, 22, has revealed why he’s switching from No. 0 to No. 6 for the 2025 season in honor of his late Alabama teammate Kyrie Jackson, NFL Network reports. cup1688
Jackson, a former fourth-round draft pick in the 2024 class of the Minnesota Vikings, died in a car accident in July 2024, while teammate Arnold from Alabama entered the league as a first-round draft pick in the same class of the Lions.
Arnold wore No. 0 during his rookie season before the 22-year-old cornerback decided to switch to No. 6 in the 2025 season in honor of former teammate Jackson.
“This guy’s a fighter, a fierce competitor,” Arnold said of Jackson after the pair spent two seasons together with the Crimson Tide before the latter transferred to Oregon for his final college season.
Arnold hopes he will always cherish the memory of his teammate who gave his all for the game. ‘When I talk to my little brother, he can look at the screen, look at the camera and say, ‘He’s wearing No. 6 because of my brother.’ That’s amazing.
‘Just talking to the family, talking to the mom or dad and letting them know that at the end of the day, Terrier didn’t forget Kyrie.’ ( cup1688 )
