cosmo365 Andy Dalton, 37, is back on a two-year deal with the Carolina Panthers.
The Carolina Panthers have agreed to a two-year extension with Andy Dalton, the 37-year-old quarterback who will back up Bryce Young through the 2026 season, NFL Network reports. cosmo365
Dalton spent the past two seasons in Carolina, appearing in nine games (six starts) as a starter under new head coach Dave Canales in 2024.
The veteran quarterback started off strong, but it soon became apparent that Dalton was not going to make the Panthers’ mark and when the 37-year-old was injured in a car accident, Canales recalled Young to the starting lineup, and the former 2023 draft pick has returned to form as a franchise quarterback.
However, Dalton’s experience allows him to play as a backup and handle the situation well if the young quarterback is unable to play, so bringing him back on a two-year deal makes sense. ( cosmo365 )
