Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone refused to blame anyone, including the referee, after his side conceded two late goals as they lost 2-1 to Getafe in La Liga on Sunday, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Atletico Madrid took a 1-0 lead through Alexander Sørloth’s penalty in the 78th minute before being reduced to 10 men after substitute striker Angel Correa was sent off and conceded two goals to Mauro Arambarri’s Azulon in the 89th and 90+2 minutes as they lost 1-2.

Asked about the controversial decision by Guillermo Cuadras Fernandez between the two teams, Simeone replied: ‘When the game is over, it’s over. We can’t think about the referee, what he did or didn’t do, but we can think about improving.’

‘It was a game where each player looked for what they wanted in their own way. We didn’t play well enough. We had chances at the end. The penalty gave us the lead but Angel was sent off. Maybe that was the right decision, maybe not.’
