Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton for a British record fee of £115m but struggled to make an impact in the first half of the season and struggled with physical problems before gradually showing excellent form in the second half of the season.
The Ecuadorian midfielder believes part of his Stamford Bridge career was hampered by a different style of play than he had at Brighton.
“At Brighton it was all about tactics, playing with the ball, but at Chelsea it was just running, running, running, so it was difficult for me.”
“I had to run all the time, and run more. It’s a different kind of football to Brighton.”
Caicedo, who has played 48 times in all competitions for Chelsea, has the most tackles in the team with 91 in the Premier League last season. ( hotfuns )
