Rafinha has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 25 goals and providing 18 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions as Barcelona remain on course to win the treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

Flick spoke about the Brazil winger ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 clash with Benfica, after Rafinha scored the winner in the first leg to give his side a 1-0 win in Portugal.

The German coach said: “Rafinha and the Ballon d’Or? Of course he is a candidate.” 

“Rafinha has a hunger and an attacking approach that you can see. It’s great to see him play. I’m happy to have him here and play at this level.” ( bully168 )
