DeRozan was previously known as the symbol of the Toronto Raptors, but was traded in Mecca by NBA President Masai Ujiri to bring Kawhi Leonard from the Spurs, which greatly angered him.  ( bully168 )

However, over time, the 29-year-old has come to terms with his situation and has adapted well to playing at AT&T Center with teammate LaMarcus Aldridge and head coach Gregg Popovich. 

“Time heals all wounds. It’s not going to make things go back to the way they were, but I’m okay now. I just have to move on. I’m happy with the present. … We all have to move on,” DeRozan told The Athletic.

DeRozan will make his first visit to Toronto.

“For the first game I’ll be playing there, if they give me a standing ovation, it would be an honor… I’m really looking forward to seeing it with my own eyes, to feeling the love from the fans.”  

“I personally plan to go talk to Kyle Lowry (a close Raptors player). I can’t wait to meet him.” 

For the four-time All-Star, the Spurs are averaging 21.4 points and a career-high 6.1 assists per game, helping the team to a 33-26 record and seventh place in the West.
