    The Gunners are close to agreeing a deal with Bologna to sign the 22-year-old defender, while Juventus are also keen but the club are reluctant to let him leave to their Serie A rivals.

     “Calafiori? I regret his departure. I would have liked to see him play for Juventus,” Bonucci told Sky Sport Italia.

    “He’s a different defender to what we’re used to. He’s a player with personality and he gets on with everyone. We’re sending out a great player who will be a reference for the national team for the next 15 years.”

    For Calafiori, he was a key player in helping Bologna qualify for the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League and was a key player for the Azzurri in the 2024 World Cup. Unfortunately, he was suspended and did not play in the last 16 match where they lost to Switzerland. ( wintime999  )
