Tuttomercatoweb reports that Bonaventura is free to decide his future after his contract with Fiorentina expires at the end of June and has identified the Saudi Professional League as his next destination.
According to the report, Bonaventura will have to finalise the financial details with the Saudi Pro League before deciding which club he will play for, unlike a player who transfers to an existing club.
This is because many of Saudi Arabia’s biggest clubs are owned by the same owner, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), a state-owned investment group that also owns Newcastle United.
For Bonaventura, now 34, he has played for Fiorentina for four seasons, scoring 20 goals in 126 Serie A games, after previously playing for AC Milan for six seasons. ( wilson88 )
