The LA Rams have agreed to terms with Matthew Staffard on a restructured contract that will allow the 36-year-old quarterback to return to the fold in the 2025 season, NFL Network reports.  bgames666

According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Stafford’s contract restructuring could be finalized within the next few weeks, likely after the start of the March 12 free-agent window, with the salary cap set to become effective then. 

The Rams have previously allowed Staffard and his agent to talk to other teams about his value and evaluate trade options, with the 36-year-old quarterback having also held talks with the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants, but they offered less than what Staffard currently receives with the Rams.

Given the teams Stafford has spoken to, the 36-year-old quarterback is likely to remain in LA, with the Rams offering him the best chance to pursue his second Super Bowl title, albeit at a slightly reduced salary.  ( bgames666 )
