bgames666 The Indianapolis Colts still have the potential to attract top free agents, according to veteran linebacker Sears Franklin.
Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl linebacker Sear Franklin believes Indy could be an attractive destination for star free agents this offseason, especially with the arrival of new defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, NFL Network reports. bgames666
The Colts finished the 2024 season in disappointment, but management is keeping Chris Ballard and Shane Steiken as GM and head coach, with the only change being the hiring of former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo to replace Gus Bradley as defensive coordinator.
“First and foremost, we’re adding defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo,” Franklin said. “If you’re looking to add a defensive coordinator to our team, first and foremost, Lou is a very respected defensive coordinator in this league.”
‘From the Pro Bowl, I can tell you that every player I’ve played against him, every single one of them, has been on his team. Even the offensive linemen, from (Joe) Mixon to Jamar (Chase) and all the other guys, they’ve got a lot of respect for Lou. I just talked about his defensive mindset, his ability to put guys in positions to be successful. ‘
Franklin led the NFL with 173 tackles in his first Pro Bowl season. Indy also has top defensive tackles in DeForest Buckner, Kenny Mohr, Layatou Latu and Grover Stewart, all of whom are talented players and selling points.
“We’ve got a bunch of Pro Bowl guys, three-way playmakers, myself, DeForest and Kenny Mohr,” Franklin said. “So adding another playmaker to that mix, whether it’s at defensive back, D-line or linebacker, just adds that and helps make this team a perennial unit.” ( bgames666 )
