Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is hoping Jared Alexander will return to the team amid a trade spree for the 28-year-old cornerback in recent months that has yet to be finalized, NFL Network reports. betflikth99
‘Yeah, he’s got his own world. I’ll let him do his own thing and see what happens, but that’s the guy I’d choose,’ Loew said of Alexander. ‘He’s a player we definitely want to bring back, just the style of play he plays, the personality he has on the pitch. I mean, that’s a player we want to be around, so we’ll see what happens.’
While Love is right that Alexander’s abilities are a boon to any team with him on its roster, the 28-year-old cornerback’s recent problem has been that he hasn’t played as much as the team would like.
Alexander has missed half of Green Bay’s last four seasons, playing in just four games in 2021, but the Packers agreed to a four-year, $84 million extension in May 2022. He reciprocated by starting 16 games and making the Pro Bowl that season before suffering another setback with his fitness issues. ( betflikth99 )
