Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Greer has revealed the Dolphins are not considering trading Jalen Ramsey during the 2025 draft, but will only consider trading the 30-year-old cornerback at the right time, according to the Miami Herald. betflikth99
“We’ve been talking to teams all weekend, and whenever that happens, we’ll make a deal at the right time,” Greer said of the Ramsey trade.
It makes financial sense for the Dolphins to wait until June 1 to trade Ramsey, as the Dolphins would unlock $25.213 million in salary cap space and be able to reduce the cap by more than $18 million.
Asked if the Dolphins would wait until June 2 or later to make a Ramsey trade, Greer said, “Whenever those opportunities arise.”
Both the Dolphins and Ramsey are in agreement about a trade this offseason, but there are questions as to which team would be willing to sign the 30-year-old cornerback, and the Dolphins are expected to have to pay a significant amount of money off the player’s contract to get a deal done.
