Berbatov, who joined United from Tottenham for £30m in 2008, believes Kane will not leave the club this summer.
Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer. United are reportedly willing to pay £80m for the striker with one year remaining on his contract.
Berbatov told Goal. That teams who want Kane will have concerns that the England captain will turn 30 in July. While his relationship with the Golden Spurs could make the transfer difficult.
The former Bulgaria forward believes United should turn their attention to Osimen, who, 24, has scored 26 goals in 31 games for Napoli this season.
“You can’t argue with Harry Kane’s goalscoring record, he’s one of the best players of his generation for scoring goals, the way he plays, the way he looks at the game. He’s unbelievable,” said Berbatov.
“But what I’m worried about is his age which is almost 30 and in my mind this will be the main concern if anyone is going to buy him.”
