Benfica are set to help break up the rift between Las Palmas, Alvaro Valles and Real Betis as the Lisbon side plan to sign Rui Silva this week, Mundo Deportivo reported on Sunday. ( superwin636 ) 

Las Palmas are keen to offload Valles this summer after the 26-year-old refused to sign a new deal, which expires next summer, but the player has rejected offers as he is keen to return to Real Betis.

While Real Betis are also keen to bring Bayes back to the club, Betis will have to sell Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Silva for a fee in the region of €6-8m to fund Bayes’ signing. 

Benfica are reportedly set to step in to resolve the situation, with Real Betis having rejected an initial offer that only wanted a loan move, but the Lisbon Eagles are ready to renew their offer to sign Rui Silva this week before Betis move on to Bayes.
