sakidbet Shane Waldron becomes former offensive coordinator for Chicago Bears after three-game losing streak sakidbet
Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus has confirmed the firing of Shane Waldron as offensive coordinator and the promotion of Thomas Brown to the role ahead of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers following Sunday’s home loss to the New England Patriots, NFL Network reports.
‘For the last game and for the next step, I know what I said before and we’re in that process,’ Eberflus said. ‘We’re less than 24 hours from the game and we’re in that process. Of course, we look at the last game and evaluate the results and then come in the morning and I have a meeting on Monday as usual.’
‘Again, there will be changes, changes to what we are doing because obviously we have lost three games in a row, but we are still 4-5, we haven’t played in our division yet and we are in the process of starting this week in important football games, so we are in the process of getting it done.’
‘There will be changes and adjustments, I won’t disclose them right now, I’m not at that point in the process yet. Monday is a long day in terms of evaluating everything, in terms of management, in terms of coaching, in terms of how we need to get better at coaching and how we need to get better at communicating in games, during games, after games, before games.
‘So it’s important that we take our time and make those decisions and make the right decisions for the Bears, what’s best for the Bears going forward, for this week and the future. So I think that’s the most important thing we do, is we have to be consistent here, just make the adjustments and changes as needed, and that’s what’s best for the Bears going forward.’
The Bears recently decided to fire Waldron as offensive coordinator and promote Brown from throwing coordinator to the interim offensive coordinator role.
“After evaluating all of our work, I have decided that it would be in the best interest of our team to move in a different direction with the leadership of our offensive team. This decision was carefully considered, and one that will be taken intentionally and respectfully,” Eberflus said in a statement. “I would like to thank Shane for his efforts and wish him well in the future.” ( sakidbet )
