The film is adapted from a survival horror game mixed with Thai superstitions and mysteries, developed by Yggdrazil Group, where players must escape and hide from evil spirits while solving puzzles. The story follows an American police officer named Jake ( William Moseley, former child actor from the film series “The Chronicles of Narnia”) who tries to stop a psychopathic killer who is killing people in a shopping mall in Bangkok as part of a black magic ritual to open the gates of Hell. Then, there is a chain reaction that causes evil spirits and demons from Hell to be released and wreak havoc in Bangkok. Jake must team up with a novice monk with special powers to find a way to close the gates of Hell to save his family and the city.
The film stars “365 Days” star Michel Morrone as a psychotic killer who seeks to open the gates of hell, South Korean-Macau singer Alexander Lee as a novice monk, and Urassaya Sperbund as Jake’s wife, who is also trapped in the devil’s world.
The film is directed by German directing duo Alexander Kiesel and Steffen Hacker. Dean Altit of Altit Media, Pakin Maliwan of Film Frame, Thanat Juwiwat, Sarut Thabloi of Yggdrazil Group, and Kia Jam are also producing.
