The New York Jets have agreed to release Devontae Adams after no teams were interested in trading the 32-year-old wide receiver for Gang Green, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.  baconclub66

The Jets had previously announced they were parting ways with 41-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers after two seasons. Gang Green tried to find a trade partner for Adams, but no teams were interested until the team finally announced they were letting the 32-year-old wide receiver leave, indicating that they had stopped taking an all-out approach for Rodgers and his allies.

Adams is due $38.2 million with no guaranteed money, making the 32-year-old wide receiver’s move a natural fit, especially after the Jets decided to part ways with Rodgers earlier this year. 

The Jets traded Adams in October with a conditional third-round draft pick from the Las Vegas Raiders, but the 32-year-old wide receiver hasn’t been able to spark up the team as hoped, catching 67 passes for 854 yards (12.7-yard average) and seven touchdowns in 11 games with Gang Green. 

Adams’ career total includes 957 catches for 11,844 yards (12.4 average) and 103 touchdowns in 164 games (157 starts) with the Green Bay Packers, Raiders and Jets, and was named All-Pro three times and a Pro Bowl six times. ( baconclub66 )
