ESPN reports that Brazilian winger Antony is a target for Turkish side Fenerbahce before the transfer window closes on Friday, but a move is unlikely to materialise as the 24-year-old is unwilling to leave Manchester United. ( wilson88 )
The report, citing sources close to the club, claims that Antony wants to prove himself and fight for a regular place in Ten Hag’s team, and deep down he wants the chance to play regularly every week, but has no interest in moving to the Turkish league after Fenerbahce made an official offer.
Antony has only played a single minute for Manchester United in the 2024-25 season, having come off the bench in each of their first three Premier League games.
Ten Hag wanted to bring in his former Ajax Amsterdam pupil Antony to continue working with him at Old Trafford, forcing Manchester United to pay a huge £82m in the summer of 2022, and he has not been able to live up to his value to this day.
