Amorim claimed his first win as Manchester United manager and his first at home as they edged past Bodo Glimt 3-2 in the Europa League on Thursday.
“We started well but then conceded two goals on the counter-attack,” the new Red Devils boss said after the game. “I liked the way the players tried to play our own game.”
“Sometimes we have the ball and we have too many problems giving it away. The aim is to have possession. I think we did better against Ipswich (1-1 draw) and we improved our quality when we had the ball.”
“The players gave it their all and I think we deserved the win,” the former Sporting Lisbon boss concluded.
The win means Manchester United have nine points from five games, moving them up to ninth in the table, just four points behind leaders Lazio. ( player1688 )
