Bruno scored the equaliser for the Red Devils, who trailed Forest 2-3 in the 61st minute, but was substituted in the 76th minute, as United lost at home by that scoreline.

On the substitution: “Bruno (Fernandes) is very tired and I would prefer (Mason) Mount to play as a second midfielder on the left.”

“Josh (Sirkzee) plays with Rasmus (Hoylund) to link up. (Leni) Yoro is out because we can’t let him play too much.”

“We brought Harry Maguire on because of set-pieces to control the guys who win all the first balls. The only way to attack Nottingham is to change the rhythm, to try to win the first ball and the second ball. When Harry is on the pitch, he wins all the first balls.”

Speaking about his difficult start to life at United, he said: “It wasn’t a surprise because we came in the middle of a lot of games.”
