The Cowboys have lost two consecutive home games to the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, while their Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns was also unimpressive, leaving fans feeling a bit worried.
In Sunday’s 25-28 loss to the Ravens, quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry both stormed through Mike Zimmer’s defense and combined for 274 rushing yards, their most since their last game against Baltimore in Week 13, 2020.
“I would say it’s been an embarrassing start to the season,” Parsons said. “We didn’t do well, after the bad start, we didn’t put ourselves in the best possible position. I’m still positive because everybody’s still coming in, (Mike Zimmer), we’re going to get better, we’re going to keep learning, we’re going to keep growing.”
The Cowboys’ defense lost 17 tackles against the Ravens, more than the combined 15 they lost in the first two weeks. The last game also gave up 158 yards, the most of any defense this season.
“The start to the season hasn’t been great, but like I said, it’s humbling. This is a test for us because without the test, there’s no answer,” Parsons added. “I still have the dream of winning a Super Bowl. I still have the dream and the motivation to go as far as I can this year and definitely get to the Super Bowl.” ( 123overr )
