USA Today reported that sources close to league executives said that there were discussions after All-Star Weekend, with attempts to get the union to reconsider, which was previously rejected in October.  ( 123over )

The details that have changed from 4 months ago are that player agents must submit medical information, past injuries, and other health information to the league as proof of application for the Combine activity (skill test), which will be viewed by scouts and basketball presidents of various franchises. 

NBA to lower rookie draft age to 18 

However, powerful agent groups are pressuring the players’ union to drop the health information requirement again, as some top players have poor medical records and if they attach it, it will lower their draft rankings, causing them to miss out on big money. 

The rules for drafting players into the NBA have changed over time, with a major milestone being that since the 2005 class, high school players have been banned from entering the league immediately, requiring them to play at least one year in college. However, current league commissioner Adam Silver has been keen to repeal this rule.
