New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, 24, said he is focused on performing as well as he can in the 2022 season, and is not focused on a new deal that the Giants decide to make, NFL Network reported Thursday.  ( 123over )

One of the biggest decisions for new Giants general manager Joe Chen was declining the fifth-year option on Jones’ rookie contract, so it’s up to the 24-year-old quarterback to prove he’s worth the investment beyond the 2022 season.

“That’s definitely out of my control,” Jones said. “That’s the business part of it, and I understand that. My job is to be ready to play the best I can.”
