Newcastle returned to sixth in the table after beating West Ham 1-0 thanks to a Bruno Guimaraes winner in the Premier League on Monday. 

Eddie Howe’s side are back to winning ways after two consecutive defeats in the league and FA Cup, ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.

“It’s a very important win. We think we want to fight for the Champions League place again. It’s an important win for us.”

“It was good to keep a clean sheet and get some confidence back before the final. I’m happy with the win and the performance of the team.”
