Lampard has been appointed as Blues boss for the remainder of the season. His debut came in a 1-0 defeat to Wolves at the weekend, and Wright is concerned the ex-midfielder won’t have enough time to get to know new players and recover.( Doomai )

“I texted him before the appointment and hopefully we can have a meeting soon,” Wright said. “Then I saw Lampard linked with Chelsea and it was. What was really difficult because it was so sudden?”

“I’m sure, I just want him to do well. I’m worried because it’s not good for him at this point, at Derby it’s okay, the Chelsea job is too tempting to deny, then Everton and everything happens.
