Genoa have lost just one of their last six league games against Inter Milan before another tough game on Saturday at Juventus, who have sacked Thiago Motta and replaced him with Igor Tudor.
“We expected it to be a tough game considering the quality of Juve’s players but also the fact that they have changed their coach has brought fresh energy to the team,” Vieira said ahead of the trip to his former home.
“It’s not easy with Motta still in the position, but players always respond when changing coaches, especially at a big team like Juve.”
